"Herbie Baby, Herbie Baby" Herb Kent an legendary radio DJ here in Chicago was known for pleasing his audience with smooth jazzy melodic grooves. This music throughout the years have spawned a smooth rhythmic styled dance craze here in Chicago. It's called Stepping, or Chicago Style Stepping, In other parts of the country they call it Jazz dance, The Cakewalk, The Ringshout, The Jitterbug, The Swing, Jazz. Music and dance are what Steppin’ is all about. Most of the songs that have always been associated with the Stepper’s dance are classics(like The Old Skool Classic JB’s Monorail for example). Many songs have been remixed, and of course there is the new stepper’s music. Personally, as you all know I prefer the classics. Enjoy. Life in the Country - The Ebonys
